The workshop

He built a workshop twelve feet tall

Which people thought was the village hall

He painted it green - the colour of peas

In order to make it blend with the trees

But the up-and-over door was white

It shone like a beacon in the night

So he painted it cream to tone it down

But the workshop remained the talk of the town

So I was insistent he change the colour

And promptly bought him a brand new roller

And a monster pot of Dulux Grey

Hoping he'd paint it straight away

This Saturday we're very busy

I've ordered quite a lot of 'fizzy'

The undercoat he used was white

And they booked it for a Sixties Night
